Gun 25.7.40. Rm.{William Robotham - Chief Engineer}8/JMS. D.{John DeLooze - Company Secretary} Frise, Esq., Chief Aircraft Designer, Bristol Aircraft Factory, BRISTOL. Dear Mr. Frise, I understand from Mr. Lappin that you hope to come down to Derby next week to discuss our 40 m/m cannon gun. This is new in production as a single shot weapon and progress is being made on the automatic feed so that it should be ready to be fitted to an aeroplane by the time you can get the necessary installation pieces fabricated. I enclose the installation drawing of the gun so that you may be able to have a preliminary look at this. It appears that the gun can be installed on its side. Yours sincerely, Enc: C.1692 Installation Arrangement 40 m/m Mark 1 Gun. CS.82. 40/m Gun in plane. S.83. 20 m/m " " " | ||
