Borg & Beck Co. Ltd., Tachbrook Road, Leamington Spa. Dear Sirs, 10" and 11" Clutches. We thank you for your letter of Sept. 1st., enclosing your quotation for complete clutches fitted with Thermoid facings. We are anxious to commence fitting these in our chassis as soon as possible. Firstly, with regard to orders now in hand, we believe there are at the moment 14 - 10" plates and 34 - 11" plates now outstanding, would you please hold these up, if not already fitted with facings till the Thermoids arrive. Secondly, Would you kindly let us know your price for removing the existing facings from approximately 150 plates of each size and replacing by Thermoids. (a) in the event of your being able to use the facings removed, or (b) in the event of your scrapping them. We of course, realize that we cannot ask you to allow credit for the facings removed unless they constitute quick moving stock. Yours faithfully, for ROLLS-ROYCE LTD. | ||
