X5820 Expl: Dept: Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}/Rn{Mr Robinson}5/LG. 31st. Aug. 1928. X5 - X4050 Messrs. The Dunlop Rubber Co., Fort Dunlop, Erdington, Birmingham. Dear Sirs, For the attention of Mr. Paull. We have been caused no little trouble and inconvenience by the fact that we standardised a 32 X 6" tyre for 20" rims and when these tyres were obtained in bulk, 32 X 6" tyres were supplied marked 'Z' and with entirely different dimensions, and an increase in weight of 5 1/2 lbs. We should be glad if you will let us know exactly where the difference is and whether another ply has been added to the tyre, and furthermore it would be a distinct advantage if you could keep us informed as to the changes in your tyre dimensions to avoid a situation such as the one which has arisen where two tyres had the same specification but different dimensions. A comparison is attached herewith. Yours faithfully, | ||
