X5820 Expl: Dept: Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}/RnS/LG. 31st. Aug. 1928. Messrs. The Dunlop Rubber Co., Fort Dunlop, Erdington, Birmingham. X5- X4050 Dear Sirs, For the attention of Mr. Paull. We have been caused no little trouble and inconvenience by the fact that we standardised a 32 X 6" tyre for 20" rims and when these tyres were obtained in bulk, 32 X 6" tyres were supplied marked 'Z' and with entirely different dimensions, and an increase in weight of 5 1/4 lbs. We should be glad if you will let us know exactly where the difference is and whether another ply has been added to the tyre, and furthermore it would be a distinct advantage if you could keep us informed as to the changes in your tyre dimensions to avoid a situation such as the one which has arisen where two tyres had the same specification but different dimensions. A comparison is attached herewith. Yours faithfully, | ||
