If these tyres have been paid for we should get our money back. Apart from the wear, they puncture very easily, small sharp stones cutting through them. The protecting bands for the tubes are also very poor and are not nearly so good as the Dunlop which are endless. The Belgrave bands often were destroyed when a puncture occurred and tyre went flat.
We also discovered a crack in the crankcase of 79H. It is not in a serious position but leaks a little oil. It is on the end of the facing where the dynamo drive comes out and runs from the bottom stud hole past the wheel case facing on the under side. May have been damaged in fitting the stud. The car was left in good condition and I gave all necessary information to the driver as regards lubrication and possible troubles.
