To Hs. {Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} from CJ. Goshawk II. Electrical System. CJ1/E27/7/23

Referring to your Hs {Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} 1/LG26/7/23, what wording is to be used in the plate on the battery box and in the plate on the generator?

I suggest that the wording should be reversed as follows:-

WHEN THE BATTERY IS OUT OF ORDER OR DISCONNECTED, THE CENTRAL (EXCITING) WIRE SHOULD BE DETACHED FROM THE DYNAMO. OTHERWISE IF THE CHARGING SWITCH BE ACCIDENTALLY USED, (something - I don't know what) MAY BE DAMAGED.

CJ.
