x3179 Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} from Mx.{John H Maddocks - Chief Proving Officer} Mx{John H Maddocks - Chief Proving Officer}13/T27.2.33. AUTOVACS. From time to time we have trouble on test with the small conical gauze filter in the tank getting choked up and impeding the petrol supply. Today we have received a serious complaint from a customer who has had trouble with his petrol supply on a comparatively new 20/25HP car. He found the trouble was due to the choking of the filter above referred to. We submit for your consideration that this small filter might be entirely deleted. No doubt you would like to take this question up with the makers who may consider it necessary to protect the working of the mechanism of the autovac itself. We feel that we are adequately protected with regard to the carburetter with the edge filter. You will remember we have recently deleted the gauze filters in the rear tank. The case above referred to was fitted with tank filters. Mx{John H Maddocks - Chief Proving Officer} | ||
