C. to SG.{Arthur F. Sidgreaves - MD} HS.{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} P. 2. GEARBOX.

We send herewith N. scheme 3304. - Layout of the Synchro Mesh Gearbox for P. 2.

The design as shewn is for unit construc-tion. Should it be ultimately decided that a separate engine and gearbox will be used further information as to the necessary adaptations will be sent you.

As regards this drawing we think there is enough for you to lay out the whole P. 2. gearbox, and we do not propose to send you any more unless it should be decided to continue with the unit construction, in which case we shall investigate the change gear lever with a view to putting it if possible in front of the servo. There are also one or two small items of information, such as the lubrication of the reverse shaft, to be sent.
