x500 a HOTEL DE FRANCE, CHATEAUROUX, Indre. France. GWH{George W. Hancock - Head Chateauroux}/IMW{Ivan M. Waller - Head of Chateauroux}/12/JAB. 27th June 1936. To. Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}/Rm.{William Robotham - Chief Engineer} 22.G.V. We have now completed 10,000 miles of running in France, and the report is being prepared. We are continuing to run mileage as we have work outstanding on the following items :- 1) Completion of 10,000 miles on new valves, 2) Petrol Pump failure, 3) New Exhaust Mountings, 4) Lodge & A.C. Sparking Plugs. We have received a petrol pump bracket but as yet no instructions regarding it. We have not yet received the rubber mounted thermometer union or the deturbulated cylinder head. We hope that we may have the opportunity of trying the extra low rated road springs and roll-rod (ref.Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}/Rm.{William Robotham - Chief Engineer}5/KW. 5.6.36) as the back seat ride, and difficulty of steering on a straight road apparently due to side sway, are two of the worst features on this car.
