E.{Mr Elliott - Chief Engineer} Hs.{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} BY.{R.W. Bailey - Chief Engineer} From R.{Sir Henry Royce} c. to BJ. Wor.{Arthur Wormald - General Works Manager} X 7090 R2/M9.3.28. CAMSHAFTS - re. LeC.2519 + 8090 BEARINGS ; These I agree can be in aluminium alloy or magnesium, whichever is the better wearing alloy. They should be die-cast; perhaps the one nearest the driving gear wheel should be bronze-bushed, because this is continuously loaded in one direction. I think it is not important to keep the split horizontal, therefore all the bearings could be alike and interchangeable. R.{Sir Henry Royce} | ||
