1.B.IV. Bentley 10,000 Miles Test.

The following is a list of modifications we propose to fit to 1.B.IV. for the next 10,000 miles test in France.

ENGINE.
(1) Latest type strengthened crankcase.
(2) Slipper wheel to Lec.3597.
(3) Flywheel flange to Lec.3674.
(4) Pistons to EB.1299 - without special heat treatment.
(5) KE.965 exhaust valves to latest Lec.
(6) Short skirt cylinder block.
(7) Tank scheme of leak prevention rear main bearing.

CHASSIS.
(a) New fully floating servo.
(b) Front axle strengthened torsionally with improved means of retaining oil in the pivots. Increased transverse lean.
(c) English made Harrison radiator.
(d) Shock dampers leak proof as far as possible.
(e) Easy change dog, second speed.
(f) Correct setting, clutch anti-rattle device.
(g) 10 x 43 Axle.
(h) Exhaust system modified to overcome recent failure. Manifold to BV.11.
(i) Brake drums with water prevention scheme fitted. Peregrine scheme to be utilised.
(j) Latest petrol pump & system. Anti surge device.
