Sidgreaves - MD} Hs.{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} Da{Bernard Day - Chassis Design}3/M7.5.30 X. 2066 X. 5350 20/25 HP. HYPOID REAR AXLE. Replying to Byll/G5.5.30. we understand there is something to be done to one or both the thrust bearings on the hypoid gears of this axle, and weare waiting for definite information as to the fault found. As this modification may considerably affect the axle we think it would be wise to carry out any alterations in connection with the draining at the same time. In the meanwhile we suggest that a slot could be put in the stationary housing carrying the thrust bearing of the gear, as indicated on N.sch.3084. herewith. Da.{Bernard Day - Chassis Design} | ||
