Dear Sirs,

With reference to your letter of the 15th.inst we have now received the instrument and thoroughly checked same, and although we agree that the trip mechanism has proved faulty we find that this has been badly strained in some way or other causing the ratchet driving plate to be forced off the pins. This has now been corrected and returned and we trust you will have no further cause for complaint.

Regarding the special drives, we are sorry to note that you are still getting slight fluctuation in the needle, and under the circumstances we are preparing a further two sample cables, one for the speedometer and one for the rev.counter, fitted with a little larger inner drive and on completion of our test these will be sent to you when we shall be glad if you will try same out and let us have your remarks whether you find them satisfactory on your cars.

Always at your service.

Yours faithfully,
pp. A.T.Speedometer Co.Ltd.
