Messrs. Rolls Royce Limited,
DERBY.

Dear Sirs,

Further to your letter of the 23rd October, your reference HS{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}/WST2/MA, in connection with one or two items. Firstly, a pair of horns which you have been testing with the new Bently 3 1/2 Litre on the Continent, and also regarding the wire of the central terminal on the 166 headlamp fitted to the Bentley.

We have not yet received the report concerning the pair of horns from our Laboratory, this we expect in the course of a day or so, but regarding the fixing of the wire of the central terminal on the lamp bulb of the 166 headlamp, we are pleased to inform you that we have already noted the possibility of this wire short circuiting the supply, should it come loose and have incorporated a different method of wiring this adaptor as you will see in future supplies of the 166 headlamp. The method adopted is similar to that used on the F.100 bulb adaptors, and eliminates all possibility of a recurrence of the trouble mentioned in your letter.

Trusting that this will be satisfactory to you.

We are,

Yours faithfully,
JOSEPH LUCAS LIMITED.

Technical Sales Department.
