We enclose four portions of the same separator taken from one of these batteries, and also a sample portion of an ebonite separator which we received from the Exide Co., and which we had intended to show to your Mr. Minchin. This sample is supposed to give a bigger percentage opening than the separator perforated with the ordinary circular holes.

It does not appear that this would be the case, and whether it actually is so, I do not really know, but in any case you might be interested to consider the possibilities of this other method of perforation.
