Dear Sirs,

Re Door Dovetails.
--------------------

We have from time to time asked you to use the Ternstedt type door dovetails on bodies which you have built for us for experimental use, and have understood that these were not obtainable. We are aware that the original Ternstedt agent in this Country is now out of business.

Whilst walking round Olympia we noticed that Messrs.Hallam,Sleigh & Cheston have a range of this type of door dovetails, and they informed us that provided the sheet metal casing and sheet metal dove tail were retained they are prepared to give us any form of interior, such as the bronze blocks with springs or fibre blocks with rubber.

We also learn from the Expl. Dept. that Messrs. Wilmot-Breeden Ltd. have a similar range of door dove tails.

In view of the foregoing we would be glad if you would arrange to fit such a type of door dovetail to the body for 24.G.6 which you have in hand, and if it is not too late, on the body for 38-Ex.

We would be glad if you would arrange to obtain a wide range of samples of these fittings for us to examine during our next visit.
