Sg.{Arthur F. Sidgreaves - MD} from Rm.{William Robotham - Chief Engineer} Rm.{William Robotham - Chief Engineer}13/ML.14.7.40. B.34.AW. As you know, except for Lp{Mr Lappin}'s car, B.V's were completed after the commencement of the Blitzkrieg. As a result of this we have never even been in a position to check that they are representative of what the B.V. should be, nor have we the facilities for so doing at the present moment. Lp{Mr Lappin}'s car, in our opinion, is representative of the type. We have heard unofficially that B.34.AW in no way compares with Lp{Mr Lappin}'s car with regard to smoothness, silence or suspension. Under the circumstances, our recommendation is that, if it is going to get the B.V. a bad name, it had better be taken off the road. Rm.{William Robotham - Chief Engineer} | ||
