Dear Sirs, With reference to your letter of June 8th re Car Radio fitted on one of your experimental cars, I was very sorry indeed to hear that the switch contacts had burnt out on the radio in question and I am arranging to despatch to you to-day, by post, a replacer switch for this unit. This switch was one with which we were never completely satisfied but was the very best that we could obtain at the time we commenced production last year. Since then we have been negotiating with another firm in this country who have produced a much more robust and satisfactory type of switch. This improved switch is now being fitted to all our models and the replacer switch I am forwarding to you will be of this latest type. With reference to the single unit set, this is progressing most favourably and we are now preparing for production. In view of your interest in this unit I should like to write you again in about three weeks' time to make arrangements for you to see a pre-production model of this single unit type so as to obtain your views and criticisms and as soon as we have more models available I shall be very pleased to let you have one for test. With regard to the tone control arrangements, I can assure you that this new model will have a variable tone control fitted as standard and I think this will overcome all the criticisms in regard to tone that you have raised. | ||
