X4617P EFC2/T. 2nd October, 1925. Messrs. Peto & Radford, 50, Grosvenor Gardens, London, S.W.1. For the attention of Mr. G.R.N.Minchin. Dear Sirs, We have your letter of the 1st inst. Your figures are most ambitious. What we had intended to imply was that perhaps treatment of this battery on the bench might be considered equal to its treatment on a car in ordinary running, so that in the 9 or 10 months' use, it might have been considered to have done the equivalent perhaps of 15,000 miles, or 20,000 miles at the most. I should hardly think the battery can be considered to have done in excess of 45,000 miles. In any case, we agree that there is not the least cause for anxiety arising from the amount the battery may be considered to have done. The oil on the top of our large FA.11 cells has is now quite thin by evaporation, and we would like to have a further supply. If you would kindly let us know what to ask for, we will send an official order for this oil if necessary. Contd. | ||
