Clutches - (Cotton - Cone) Written by Mr Royce on 10th March 1912. Handed to T.C. on afternoon of 12th Mch. Precis of Mr Royce's notes. "This fabric if satisfactory and definitely superior to leather should be applied as standard and fitted to any repair cars on which the clutch is unsatisfactory or requires repairing." 15th Mch. Hives asked to press forward with tests and obtain results. 28th Mch. Tests made with leather and cotton clutches on dynamometer with very satisfactory results for cotton. 29th Mch. Committee agreed to make standard. 2nd Apl. D.O. were advised to make this standard as soon as possible. (Mr Wormald will probably be able to introduce about 1960.) X356 | ||
