-4- Bentley Production Troubles. (1) H.I.Smith - Clutch Judder. R-H-W should complete its test and if O.K. standardise, at the same time can we increase anti rattle springs in gearbox synchro mechanism. Existing Cars. Find out if its cheaper to fit prop. shaft dampers or stronger springs in anti-rattle device. Complete our test on anti-rattle spring device, supply depots with either one or other of the two parts for use in cases of complaint. (2) Articulated - Rear. Continue with scheme of weight in front. Give Hives on rest till we get clear of the S-H-W part &. (3) Oil Ignition - Hot Trouble. Follow up Professor Egerton's car and ignition system using porcelain plugs, also a 'hot' plug for the entire length of the possible solution. (4) S.H.W. Oil on Rear Brakes. Any news from J.F. on how the loose fit perfect oil seals are going & what are we doing to improve the life of wheel drivers. (5) Shock Absorber Shocks. What are we doing with regard to ...'s report on bearing sizes. Are cars still being sent out thus. We must get an improvement going on production immediately. | ||
