Re: Battery Ignition Replacements In reply to your EFC1/AD14.5.30, we have not so far in India had sufficient experience with Tungsten points to be able to give an opinion which would be worth anything to you but we can say that once having supplied Tungsten points, we cannot recall single a/case where we have had to supply another set, or have heard of trouble. With regard to the ignition distributor rotors, the cause of replacement can probably be put into one of three classes. 1. The bakelight moulding is burst by being forced too tightly on to the taper shaft. 2. The finger may be bent by careless handling. 3. Electrical breakdown of the bakelight. Taken all round, we experience surprisingly little trouble in India with the part of the ignition system which is of RR. manufacture. NRC.{N. R. Chandler} WAC | ||
