X.2894. BATTERY IGNITION TUNGSTEN CONTACT POINT EXPERIMENTS.

Will you please arrange for the instructioning of a 50% stronger contact breaker spring experimentally.

It will be remembered that we previously, i.e. before the alteration in the design of the spring anchorage, made experiments with stronger springs but that the springs themselves were not satisfactory owing to being over stressed. The present design permits of increasing the strength of the spring with much less likelihood of failure by over-stressing.
