TO DY.{F R Danby} FROM DA.{Bernard Day - Chassis Design} Copy to - ads. HS.{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} DA{Bernard Day - Chassis Design}1/M12.8.25. ORIGINAL X 8430 X205 DAMPED PENDULUM LEVER. We send herewith N. scheme 2037. shewing the cover attached to bonnet strip and valance for the damped pendulum lever. This is the drawing we promised to enable you to fit up 7-EX. The mud baffle underneath is shewn as a die casting. It could be made out of sheet by bending, and we suggest that one of this type should be tried. If the present experiments on steering result in the fitting of this pendulum lever being made retrospective it will be necessary to adapt this cover to a 'V' series width of bonnet. We have looked into it and there appears to be no difficulty, and we suggest that Derby should make the necessary modifications to this scheme.
