Dear Sirs,

For the attention of Mr. Paull.

We have received a complaint from The Marajah of Pattiala who owns about 16 Rolls-Royce cars that after fairly extensive tests he has come to the conclusion that balloon tyres are not as satisfactory as the high pressure tyres from the point of view of life in tropical climates.

The Marajah uses his cars largely for hunting, so that the tyres work under very strenuous conditions.

Our own experience on the Continent in very hot weather does seem to indicate that the stones go straight through the covers of balloon tyres under these conditions, and we would like to have your observations on the subject so that we can make a recommendation to our Indian clients.

Yours faithfully,
