S/W V4050 CS/06.11.26. Re Low Pressure & Medium Pressure Tyres. Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}1/LG23.10.26. We think your suggestion of referring to the various tyres by their size is quite all right for internal use, but we are afraid the sizes do not conveya great deal to non-technical customers. The census of opinion at Sales appears to be that we should call them "Low Pressure Tyres of ... size; so that on the "Phantom, we should call our present standard 5" section straight-side High Pressure tyres; our future standard, 6.75 well-base Low Pressure Tyres. 20 h.p:- Present standard....4½ section straight/side High Pressure tyres; Future standard.....5½ section well-base Low Pressure tyres. If you see no objection, we propose advising all concerned accordingly. C. | ||
