re Floorboard Boom in 36-EX.

With respect to the above, I did not telephone you further as we have not yet been able to carry out a conversion of the rear floorboards on the above chassis. It is in fact rather difficult to do and necessitates cutting away a lot of sheet metal.

As we have up here a similar body by Park Ward, with a subdivided wooden floor in the rear, it occurs to us that it would be a better scheme to get this car running and compare it with the Hooper body.

The car is at the moment with Mx{John H Maddocks - Chief Proving Officer}, being rebuilt to our production specification. We are, therefore, using every effort to hurry this on so as to carry out some comparative runs over granite sets. As the local authorities are now actually engaged in covering up the granite sets with tar mac.{Mr Macintosh} it has become a race as to who finishes first.
