Dear Sirs, For the attention of F.{Mr Friese} G.{Mr Griffiths - Chief Accountant / Mr Gnapp} Hardy, Esq., With reference to Mr. Martin-Hurst's telephone conversation about the thermostatic header tank relief valve used on Bently pressure cooled systems, we have now found a way whereby we can, if required, make up for you a suitable unit. It has occurred to us in this connection that our standard pressure loaded valves, prints of which are enclosed, will be perfectly satisfactory for your purpose. This valve is designed for car or tank engines which are running under pressure cooled conditions, and it would appear at first sight to be unnecessary to have the special thermostatic air release incorporated in the relief valve. You will see from the drawings that this valve is merely a spring loaded relief valve which, however, has a big advantage in having a large seat and no valve guide to cause sticking. In the event of your thinking that this type of valve will be suitable it is a production model and, therefore, we can supply one from stock.
