Mr.G.W.Hancock, c/o Hotel de France, Chateauroux, Indre, FRANCE. X'1840 [handwritten] To Ha/GWH.{George W. Hancock - Head Chateauroux} from Ha/Gry.{Shadwell Grylls} Ha/Gry.{Shadwell Grylls}6/KT.13.6.33. FRONT BRAKES. Replying to yours of 11.6.33. on increased front braking, we should have sent you shorter ropes for use with the shorter levers. It is possible now when the brakes are off that the plate lever is not sufficiently far forward (the rod from the servo should just not foul the equaliser housing). If this is so the system will toggle over earlier than it should. We cannot see from laying it out how the 1.350" levers instead of 1.625" can otherwise make such a difference as you now have the complete Bensport equaliser. If the original setting of the front brakes is .500" at the end of the lever you can take up 1 notch as the movement exceeds .850". Ha/Gry.{Shadwell Grylls} | ||
