PHANTOM 2. - BRAKE OPERATING GEAR.

This is to confirm having handed to you yesterday N. scheme 2988. - Damper for the Swinging Arm of the Brake Gear, Phantom 2. - for the purposes of experiment.

It will be seen that a new gearbox casing with a boss on the brake compensator arm is needed.

It will also be seen that the dashpot constitutes the stop for the front brakes: the stop for the back brakes is as now, that is to say, we believe the sheet metal lever jams in the fork.

We have assumed that you do not require any additional backward stops other than you have already, and are satisfied, for example, with the 20HP., in which there appears to be no stop.
