The difference between this and the actual torque obtained from two plates represents the torque lost to the dog friction resisting any increase in plate pressure. From this we can obtain the loss of plate pressure.

PLATE PRESSURE ON DES.38 SERVO.

The plate pressure on the WW. servo fitted with 45° actuating thread is half that which was employed on the DES.38 servo, and when fitted with 35° thread is only .37 that of the DES.38. (This is the first flat disc servo made to apply to existing cars).
