200a. Rm{William Robotham - Chief Engineer}/GWH.{George W. Hancock - Head Chateauroux} from Rm{William Robotham - Chief Engineer}/Gry.{Shadwell Grylls} Rm{William Robotham - Chief Engineer}/Gry{Shadwell Grylls}1/R.11.3.37. The reason why I wired Waller for reports on the two Bentley cars was because Sg.{Arthur F. Sidgreaves - MD} knowing that 6.B.IV. had been runable since February 23rd had written to ask why there were no Daily Reports. I also thought 3.B.IV. ought to be running at Chateauroux because we have had no Daily Report of 35-EX since March 1st. I concluded, therefore, that the car was at Paris, and that your men would be running 3.B.IV. instead. The head lamp position is still a little obscure. Lucas say that the lamps on 35-EX were an exact copy of Marchal lamps. They also say that they have never yet succeeded in making a lamp which would pass the French authorities owing to the fact that their bribe has not been sufficient. As you see, this makes it rather a difficult situation. Rm{William Robotham - Chief Engineer}/Gry.{Shadwell Grylls} | ||
