Mr. Royce wishes to incorporate a new type of fabric coupling, as soon as possible, but as this design is, at the moment only at the stage of discussion between Mr. Royce and Derby, it is considered that not less than 500 of the old type standard couplings complete with brakes should be made; this number have therefore been instructed and will stand. If the fabric couplings are ready at an early date, the question of stopping the old type and scrapping parts, can, of course, be considered. EFC. | ||
