We send herewith N.Sch.4306 which shows our suggestions to overcome the foul between the servo stop plate and the lever pin.
Fig.1. shows a pin secured in place by a washer and rivet. As far as we are concerned this can be the permanent scheme but if the Works have any objection to this as a permanent scheme (we presume that it will be satisfactory in any case as a temporary arrangement) the stop plate must be moved inwards and the rivet radius increased as shown by fig.3, which requires modifications to dies but does not require any new dies except for the stop plate (i.e. if dies are already made).
Fig.2. shews an intermediate scheme which requires no modifications to any dies except for the stop plate, but should be superseded by fig.3. when the opportunity occurs.
