X341 To BY.{R.W. Bailey - Chief Engineer} Copy to E.{Mr Elliott - Chief Engineer} Hs.{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} Ba. HDY.{William Hardy}1/MN.16.10.35. F.J.H PHANTOM III. Servo. We send herewith N.Sch.4669 which shows the flat strip connecting links between the servo and the pedal countershaft replaced by forks and a screwed rod. The pin of the fork on the servo lever is rivetted over and thus gives clearance for the front brake operating rod. If there is any objection to the whole rod remaining attached to the servo it can be disconnected from the fork, the setting being retained by the use of two nuts locked together. HDY.{William Hardy} This drawing also shows a castellated nut in place of the split pinned collar which is at present used to secure the balance lever. Att: N.Sch.4669. | ||
