condition more even and slower running can be obtained on battery ignition only, because of the timing being later than on the magneto.

We consider, to provide for that condition, the switch under the instrument board should be satisfactory. We know the amount of time and thought R.{Sir Henry Royce} gave to the switch, and it is not possible to have the same combination of switch positions with the locked type of ignition switch as on the one at present on the 40/50 HP. If any alteration is made it will mean re-designing.

(2) The engine is definitely cleaner and more simple in appearance than the 40/50 HP. It is very much more easy to keep clean.

The parts which need adjustment are easy to get at. For instance, tappet adjustment is much more easy than we have had on any car previously. Fan belt adjustment is more easy - also battery ignition and oil filter is accessible.

The magneto and contact breaker cannot be seen as easy as one would wish, but it is as good as the 40/50 - there is very little chance of altering.

(3) We admit that we should like the steering to transmit less shocks on the steering wheel on a rough road. This is receiving attention but no promise can be given that the production cars will be any better than 93-NK car. The chief advantage with the EAC. type of steering is that there will be very much less wear. The reason for this is that the steering box is oil-tight and is kept filled up with oil.
