REGULATORS.

We have obtained from Messrs. Lucas the identification number by which the new 2 1/2 turn regulator is to be known, i.e. B.2.CS/11. Included with the correspondence is a copy of their laboratory reports Nos. 6715 and E.4789 which give the following output figures.

Open Circuit Operating Voltage (Cold) 15.8 - 16.3 volts.

Output at | 13 volts. | 13.5 volts. | 15.5 volts.
Cold. | 16.7 - 19.6 amps. | 13.8 - 16.7 | 3.2 - 5.9
Hot. | 20.4 - 23.2 amps. | 17.4 - 20.3 | 6.6 - 7.4

[Handwritten note]
We agree with these figures
Rm{William Robotham - Chief Engineer}/Rc{R. Childs}

The above figures are all lower than those given on our detail drawing D.55030 which were obtained from the Expl. Dept. and are as follows :-

Open Circuit Operating Voltage (Cold) 16.4 - 16.9 volts.

Output at | 13.5 volts. | 15.5 volts.
Cold. | 15 - 19 amps. | 8 - 12 amps.
Hot. | 17 - 21 amps. | 10 - 14 amps.

Owing to the discrepancies between the two sets of figures, we hand you herewith 2 regulators B.2.CJ/11 taken from the first production batch, for you to test and report on, to enable a specification to be drawn up.
