(12) Contd:-
prime the carburetter or autovac in case the customer runs out of petrol including his reserve supply, is a point which must be considered as unsatisfactory from the customer's point of view.

(13) Magneto switch wiring. One is still able to obtain a shock in case the magneto 'on' and 'off' switch is handled when the main ignition switch is put on the "magneto only" position. x

(14) Instrument board box. The red rubber used for the glass fitting we suggest should be changed for a colour more suitable, and which would give a better appearance.

(15) Engine shutter control knob. It is suggested that the engraving of this knob showing the direction of this knob for opening and closing should be made more clear and definite (Mx.{John H Maddocks - Chief Proving Officer} and By.{R.W. Bailey - Chief Engineer} have in hand).

(16) Engine oil level gauge. The marking of the gauge at present is poor and more definitely clear marking is required.

(17) Gear box oil leaks. This takes place from the vent hole in the change gear tube. (Mx.{John H Maddocks - Chief Proving Officer} - BY.{R.W. Bailey - Chief Engineer} in hand).

(18)- Front number plate fixing. I still feel that the question of this number plate being obscured and also too low will be raised when the cars get into service.
(Handwritten: Too low)

(19) The ignition plug spanner supplied with the kit is much too short. A spanner about 7" long is required in order to clear the induction pipes. (Handwritten: (see also memo EP{G. Eric Platford - Chief Quality Engineer}/TM4/H 16829) re tool kit generally.)

(20) Sub-frames. We are anxious that this job should be a complete success so far as mounting correctly to instructions and drawings is concerned.
We understand that sub-frames have already been despatched, and take it they have been checked and inspected as being correct for fitting to the standard frame. We would like, however, to make quite sure that we despatch chassis on which the standard sub-frame fits correctly, and suggest that we should have a model sub-frame fitted with temporary scuttle, so that we can check that all chassis before leaving the Works are satisfactory in this respect.
Can BY.{R.W. Bailey - Chief Engineer} please instruct for one to be supplied to us fitted with temporary scuttle shape, so as to make quite sure that the dash board will give the correct clearance.
