-2- (c) Consumption loops at 1000, 3000 and 4000 r.p.m. 1% retard; Ethyl fuel. (d) Ignition advance curves at 1000, 3000 and 4000 r.p.m; W.M.M.P. fuel consumption; Ethyl fuel. (4) EFFECT OF DISTANCE BETWEEN HEAD AND PISTON. These tests should be run on No.6 head if possible. Gaskets should be made to raise the block by successive increments of .010", the head machined each time to bring the C.R. the same, and the tests in item (3) repeated for each arrangement. If possible, cathode ray photographs are to be taken. Further work programmes on No.7 head and bump piston will be issued later. Rm{William Robotham - Chief Engineer}/Ed.{J. L. Edwards} | ||
