The cylinder liners are solid with block.

The overall length of the cylinder joint face is 21.425 ins.

The weight of the top half crankcase is 142 lbs.

The rear journal cap is held by 4 - .500" diameter studs.

Camshaft Bearings are white metalled bushes lubricated with splash oil caught in troughs on crankcase walls similar to the supply to journals.

Cylinder centres are 3.1875 ins. and 4.112 for the centre pair.

There is only .1878 thickness of metal between the cylinder bores. CRANKCASE WALL THICKNESS IS .250.

Cylinder Head.

This is a two piece unit, the combustion head being in aluminium and the upper water jacket portion being in cast iron, these being fastened to the cylinder with 21 - .375 dia. studs.

The sparking plugs are situated over the exhaust valves.

The weight of the cylinder head complete is 32 lbs.

The inlet and exhaust ports are arranged thus:-

Valves, Tappets and Camshaft.

Both inlet and exhaust valves have a throat diameter of 1.250 ins.
