X8370 Hs.{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} Wor.{Arthur Wormald - General Works Manager} BY16/H.{Arthur M. Hanbury - Head Complaints} 17.11.25. NEW PHANTOMCodename for PHANTOM I CHASSIS. SERVO EFFECTIVENESS. Referring to EP{G. Eric Platford - Chief Quality Engineer}2/H.13.11.25. so long as we retain the present proportions and general design of the balance lever and swing links carrying same, there is no prospect of us being able to alter the pin or design in such a way as to make it fool-proof against mis-assembly. To do as you require would mean quite a big modification. I am putting it up to West WitteringHenry Royce's home town, and if they consider same, we will incorporate the modification as soon as possible. Personally, I am inclined to think that R.{Sir Henry Royce} will adopt the attitude that we ought to be able to erect a simple piece like this the correct way round, particularly as if the pin is put in the wrong way, it is practically fouling before any movements on the brakes take place.
