LTD/DLD 103/105, Scrubbs Lane, Willesden, London, N.W.10. W. A.{Mr Adams} Robotham Esq., Messrs. Rolls-Royce Ltd., DERBY. 15th October 1930. Dear Sir, We are in receipt of your letter of the 14th instant, and are surprised to know that the efficiency of the tube block you tested was less than that of the round tube type. We have made a large quantity of round tube type radiators, and in the case of certain well-known firms such as, Rover and Bentley, the type we submitted to you has superseded the round tube. We are pleased to know that your representative visited the Stand of the French Company in Paris, and we shall be pleased to give you an introduction in order that you may inspect the Paris works, which you will find most interesting as they have a complete plant for testing radiators under running conditions by means of wind-tunnel, etc. With regard to the different types of matrix they are using, we shall be pleased to submit a sample of the type you inspected in Paris, although we cannot confirm that 30% increase in efficiency will be obtained; we should prefer you to make your own tests. Our price for 100 matrix as per sample supplied with your top and bottom tanks fitted in accordance to your requirements would be £9. 10. 0. ex our works. | ||
