TESTS ON BROOKLANDS WITH CAR FITTED X4299 [crossed out] X788 WITH 14-TOOTH AXLE.

We do not consider the results we obtained on Brooklands when the tests were taken 10 days ago, were accurate.
They do not compare with any previous tests and we feel certain that some fault, such as pre-ignition must have been taking place.
The max. speed for the lap was only 60 m.p.h.
We have gone over the car and tested it on the dynamometer to make sure it is giving the standard performance for power. The car is going down to Brooklands again on Monday next week. We should have some results by the end of the week.
