BARKER & CO. (Coachbuilders) Ltd. 66 and 67, South Audley Street, London, W.1. Dear Mr. Johnson, "Barker" Wheel Discs. Since my interview and conversation with you re Barker Wheel Discs, I have used extensively our 40/50-H.P. and 20 H.P. Trials Cars, both of which are fitted with Barker wheel discs, and I cannot detect any noise from these discs. The 40/50 H.P. car is now out on a tour with one of our representatives, but I am daily using the 20 HP. trials car. I should be glad if you could conveniently arrange to have a run in this with me so that you can satisfy yourself that the discs are not noisy. I should also like to mention that Barker discs were fitted to Mr. Phillippi's car - a customer with whom we have had a great deal of trouble owing to drumming or booming. I understand that during the experiments with this car the discs were taken off and the car tested by your representative and it was found that there was no perceptible difference with the running of the car either with or without the discs, which confirms the opinion we have here that the discs do not make a car noisy. Awaiting your reply, Yours faithfully, BARKER & Co. (Coachbuilders) LTD. (Sgd.) H.{Arthur M. Hanbury - Head Complaints} Y. Nutt. Managing Director. B. Johnson Esq. | ||
