To Hs.{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} from BJ. c. to W. Hs.{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} X8720 BJ30/D23.8.26. Confirming our conversation on Friday, it would interest me to try a Phantom on which the three points which I mentioned had been obliterated as far as possible, namely:- (a) The irregularity of the throttle setting. (b) The irregular running at slow speeds. (c) Popping in the exhaust. You will remember that I mentioned in using a Phantom at Frinton, I was ashamed to take friends out in the car on account of these three serious drawbacks, which were unnoticeable, or comparatively unnoticeable, in Silver Ghost Cars. I would willingly go without quite a number of Phantom improvements in order to do away with these very noticeable detriments. BJ. [Watermark: DICKINSON BOND] | ||
