RE R-R PATENT LUGGAGE CARRIER.
J.3. & PERE.2.

Derby have informed SG.{Arthur F. Sidgreaves - MD} that the new combined apron and luggage grid designed by us for J.3. and scaled down for pere.2. is costly to produce.

We do not appear to have recieved a report to that effect and we feel that we should have done.

Sg.{Arthur F. Sidgreaves - MD} requests that I come up and see you with a view to discussing modifications in the design to reduce this cost, and this I will do in the course of the next week or ten days.

In the meantime we would be glad if Derby would send us their comments as to which are the costly features and what is the estimated cost at which it could be supplied to Sales for Pere.2. in batches of 200.

Would Derby (BY) please send us a set of details of the grid and apron so that we can also get a quotation from outside, as it might be more economical to obtain this feature in the same way as we do such parts as bumpers etc.
