X4554 To Wer. from E/Lid.{A. J. Lidsey} c. Hs.{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} 40/50 HP. Chassis Output. Referring to Sg.{Arthur F. Sidgreaves - MD}6/C.29.3.34, it is agreed for the reasons stated that it is inadvisable to incorporate many new features on 'T.2' series. With regard to the new parts at present on 28-EX which were listed in E/Lid.{A. J. Lidsey}2/HP.26.2.34 all the items under the heading (A) and which are mentioned in the fourth paragraph of Sg.{Arthur F. Sidgreaves - MD}6/C.29.3.34 come on to production on S.2. series and in addition the following features are released for adoption. Dropped front crossmember. D.W.S. jacks with two speed handle. R.R. design of stop lamp switch. All these features, which include sheet metal crossmember moved back, and flexible silencer suspension will therefore automatically come on 'T.2' series. It remains therefore to examine the remaining items given under section 'B' of E/Lid.{A. J. Lidsey}2/HP.26.2.34. Many of these are not in a sufficiently advanced state for production and are as follows. We do not therefore recommend their inclusion. ENGINE. (1)- Larger carburetter. (2)- Crankcase breather from valve rocker cover to air silencer. (3)- Balancing cam on camshaft, cannot be used with existing petrol supply system - no alternative petrol feed available. (4)- Smaller diameter fan belt driving pulley - not a complete cure and involves cost of producing tools for shorter fan belt. (5) Helical gear oil pump - more experience required. | ||
