To improve the interchangeability of the bottom half of the crankcase in Wraith lll and Bentley lll, it is desired to adopt the Bentley lll type of spindle for the front brake intermediate lever, instead of the existing Wraith type with a nut on the inside of the crankcase. A standard plug is screwed into the unused hole, according to which engine is being built. G.CD.338 shews the adaptation to Wraith lll, and we have taken the opportunity to shew the Bentley type of lever base, bushes and felt washers instead of the Wraith, as being cheaper and simpler with most pieces interchangeable on the two cars. Existing Wraith levers can be converted as shewn, if desired, but this change is not intended for the lst. six cars. DA. {Bernard Day - Chassis Design} | ||
