Dear Sirs,

Re Cut-out.

We have your letter of the 8th inst.

We would gladly take the figures for which you ask for the two instruments 38657/9, but as these vibrate at the cutting-in point it is difficult to get figures of any value for the operation.

We are, therefore, returning these two cutouts to you and no doubt you can adjust same, after which we hope we both shall be satisfied that they operate to the Specification we have laid down.

Just as a matter of interest to yourselves we attach a sheet describing the method by which we adjusted the instruments to work to our specification to our satisfaction. This was arranged after some amount of thought of the factors which affect the operation of these instruments.

Yours faithfully,
