COPY. Rmd from Hs.{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} X1263 To Sg.{Arthur F. Sidgreaves - MD} from E.{Mr Elliott - Chief Engineer} c. to Hs.{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} E.1/HP.5.11.36. Re Petrol Pumps. Replying to your memo. Sg.{Arthur F. Sidgreaves - MD}5/E.4.11.36, we have not shut the door on a stand-by pump scheme for the Ph.III, and by moving some of the electrical tackle I think we could find a place for a single pump. This pump could be wired up to the facia switch we are preparing, as an alternative to the double pump, all three normally working together. I anticipate we shall have a scheme ready for next week. With regard to the last paragraph in your memo., there is no difficulty about detaching the 25/30, or Phantom III pumps, as these are already arranged with the nuts on top for fixing to the rubber mounting. In the case of the Phantom III, however, to put the matter beyond all question, I am fixing the rubber mounting itself to the dashboard by studs. E.{Mr Elliott - Chief Engineer} | ||
